I had the best Christmas ever this year!!! I am so blessed to be spoiled by my parents this year. I guess it pays to be the last child at home not married. ;) I got to have Christmas early this year cause Christmas morning we planned on getting up early to bet the storm and go to Vegas to be with my aunt and her family. (side note...we ended up leaving Christmas Eve night about seven thirty and drove to St. George so we could bet the storm the next day which we did but we did hit some snow on our way down.) So Christmas Eve morning I woke up...opened my flat screen TV that I knew I was getting and thought that was it, but I also received a Flip video recorder which is super cute and then a bunch of little things like earrings, perfume etc. Then my mom tells me I have one more to open but cant open it until we get to my sisters house in Layton. So we get ready, drive up to Layton to see what my niece and nephews got from Santa because he came early to. My brother in law had to work Christmas morning so Santa came early for them too. We got to their house had breakfast and then I got to open my gift. I was so nervous cause I didn't know what it was...my mom said I could cry or laugh which didn't help. :) But I opened it up to find that...(drum roll please.) I am going to HAITI!!!!
Its a humanitarian project called Healing Hands for Haiti and I will be gone May 12th-24th. I was so shocked!!! I even called it Tahiti I think...cause I was just shocked. But I got it right the second time I looked at it. :) But I am so excited to go and help the people there. I will be working in the orphanage and help the doctors and nurse with the people there in the clinics. I am just so blessed to have great parents...and so blessed I can do this right now in my life. It will be a life changing thing for me and I can't wait to go and service the people in Haiti. Don't worry I will keep you all posted the days before I go and if I can let you know how I am doing when I am there. That probably wont happen cause Haiti is one of the poorest countries, but I can't wait to share with you the things I learned and experienced when I get back. I feel so blessed and excited to go! I hope you all have a Happy New Year and it brings you all joy! Happy New Year!
Last Christmas Gift!!!
