Haiti Day 1

I'm alive, alive and I don't care who knows it!!! :) Well we landed in Haiti today. I was a little nervous getting off the plane because some of the people who have been before were like...someone needs to be in front of you to take your picture. I guess to get my reaction to Haiti. And they were right! WOW! first of all this is my first time out of the country and I go to Haiti! lol I know right! I love it! But it was an adventure. The people here are everywhere! (side note their is a lizard crawling on the wall right now where I am typing. lol got to love the lizards that are everywhere!) Anyways...people are everywhere. The builds you see are just trashed and they build up not side to side like we do. Children washing them selves in the river and people washing their clothes just down a little ways from where they were in the river. :) The children pointing to their tummies so you will give them food. Its heartbreaking! I wish I had enough money in the world to give these children the kind of life they could get in the US. We are all so blessed to be living in our beautiful country. I miss our clean streets, air conditioning builds, :) people speaking the same language as me! ITs so weird to think that I am the minority here. I wish so badly that I speak french or crecole. (i am not sure on that spelling, but I will find out.) :) I am so grateful for all that I have. I wish you could all come to Haiti and experience this adventure. I hope to post some pictures tomorrow. The internet is really SLOW and I think it might take forever to download but I will keep it posted. I have so much to write but I need to get to bed. I love you all and hope you find the little things in life to be grateful for!
