Bailey Ann Anderson was born on January 11,2013 at 12:43 a.m. 7 pounds 8 ounces and 19 inches long It all started Thursday January 10...I went in for my check up. My Dr. Kari said I was a 3 and 80% effaced and then she stripped my membranes. I left her office feeling a little crampy. I came home, ate, showered, packed my hospital bag and then decided to go get a pedicure just in case I had her today. After my pedicure I came home and decided I wanted her out so I decided to do Just Dance 4 that I got for Christmas from Steve. I started playing it around 2:30 and started to feel more contractions then normal. I kept playing and then we decided to start timing them. I was having them every 2 min. apart so we decided to call my mom and she left work and came over to our house to make sure we were timing them right and wanted to bet the storm that was coming in that night. They kept getting more intense as I was playing and walking around so we decided to just go get checked out at the hospital. We left around 5:30 and dropped Emma off with Sara and went into the hospital. As we were waiting for a room to get open a lady came in looking a lot worse then I was and I said...She needs a room now! Come to find out she was a 9 and barely had time for an epidural. I bet she could have gone natural she was so close but I totally understand...I need my epidurals. :) Anyways, when a room was open they monitored me for about an hour to see if I progressed and if I did then I could stay. They checked me at 7 and said I was a 3+ and 90% and if I went walking around the hospital for an hour and come back to get checked then they would keep me. So I walked around the hospital for an hour...and boy were the contractions more intense. I came back after my mom and Steve got something to eat and Kimmy my nurse said I was a 4 and 90% so they would keep me. Side note...Kimmy was the nurse I saw twice when I was in labor with Emma and I was so happy to have her again. She is the BEST nurse and I loved her! Anyways, so it was 8 o'clock when they finally admitted me and I was progressing well. Finally around 12 I just knew it was time because I wanted to push really bad! I pushed for 10 min and out came little Bailey. It was a totally different labor then Emma. 38 hours compared to 4 hours...life was much better. We were so excited to have Bailey here and we LOVE her so much! It is a different world with two kids under the age of 2. I am grateful that Steve is home to help me around the house and with the girls. It truly is a blessing...but Steve is ready to find a job now. He is looking and I'm praying that he finds one before the end of February or I have to go back to work earlier then I want to. But I am enjoying him home now. :) Bailey is such a good baby. She eats, poops and sleeps. :) I think she looks like me when I was a baby but I thought that with Emma too. She goes in Friday for her 2 week check up. I can't believe she will be 2 weeks this week! Time does fly! Emma is adjusting well with baby sister. She loves to give her kisses and steal her binky and that is about all she wants to do with her sister right now. We will see what happens when she actually starts walking. She is so close. Give her a month or two and she will be walking around like crazy! I love my two girls so much and can't believe Heavenly Father sent them both to us! We are just a happy family and I love them ALL so much! Welcome to our crazy life's Bailey!
