3 months and 16 months

WOW! Bailey is 3 months old...she is such a fun, sweet, patient little sis. She is smiling and laughing more and more everyday and its so fun to see her smile as Emma gets closer to give her a kiss. They are going to be the best of friends! She weighed 10 lbs. at her 2 month appointment but I'm sure she is like 11-12 lbs. now. Bailey is sleeping 9-11 hours at night and mommy and daddy are so HAPPY about that. She is not a fan of tummy time but is getting better and better at holding her head up. She is getting use to all the new sounds at daycare and can sleep through most of them. Bailey was blessed in March along with her cousin Avery who is a few days younger then Bailey. Bailey did such a good job during her blessing. It was a great day. She got to meet her Aunt Jen and Uncle Mike for the first time and then got to meet her Grandma and Grandpa Anderson on their mission a few days after. She also got to meet her cousin Maggie and Aunt Bione and Uncle Mike as well in Colorado. We took the trip to Colorado to surprise Grandma Anderson for her 60th birthday and she was surprised! It was so fun to see all the family and hang out for a few days. Bailey is such a fun little girl and are so happy to have her with us. Emma is 16 months and FINALLY cutting her first tooth!!!! We thought this day would never come! Not only did she cut her first tooth but is walking to! I wanted her to walk so bad but know I'm wishing she didn't. She gets into EVERYTHING! She is exploring everything around her and its so fun to see how fast she is growing up. She is saying mama and baba not still not getting that dada yet. So she is now working with a Special Ed teacher to help her with some speech stuff but today I have finally come to the conclusion that she is tongue tided. She can't say the d sounds, she can't stick out her tongue, and when she drinks or sucks on a bottle I have always noticed she uses the front of her tongue a lot so she drools A LOT! I was at work taking a picture of her two piggy tails to send to Steve and I got of shot of her with her tongue kind of out but the tip of her tongue was indented so that is when it all clicked and I decided myself that she is tongue tided. I will ask her OT next week what he thinks but I think I'm going to go get her checked out. I don't where you would go because I remember when she was little I thought she looked a little tongue tided but he Dr. said it looked fine but I don't think its fine. The "motherly instinct" in me says that its all about her tongue. Once that is taken care of I think she can start using and making words. Cause she understands everything that we say she just can't express her words to us. But she is doing awesome with every development stage and we couldn't be more excited about the progress she is making. We are so blessed to have two amazing girls in our family. Its so fun to dress them a like now and I told Steve I need to get it out of my system now because they wont let me do it when they are older. :) They are going to be best of friends and I can't wait for them to realize that. Steve found a job at UVU as an out of state recruiter and is so excited. He will be traveling a lot (which sucks) but its a job and he now has his foot in the door at UVU. He was so excited to go back after 3 months of being a stay at home dad. He misses his Emma though while at work. ;) We are so blessed to have the gospel in our lives and we know that all our blesses have come from our Father in Heaven. He was aware of everything we needed when Steve was unemployed and we can't thank him enough for all the blessings he gave us.
