Spring Break in Nauvoo

We had a blast in Nauvoo for our Spring Break. Steve's brother Mike was sealed to his wife Bione March 19th in the Nauvoo Temple. It was so fun to see everyone from Steve's side of the family.
We left Wednesday at 5:15 in the morning and boy was it a long flight. :) It all started with the airline we flew. Frontier...o how I will NEVER fly Frontier again! We got to the airport to check in and the lady checking us in I guess decided to take her time because it took her 30 min. to check us in!!!! I was so frustrated with her that I had to leave and let Steve get the tickets from her. After we received our tickets we went to our gate got on board and come to find out, you have to pay $6 to watch TV and you only got complimentary drinks. What flight doesn't let you have at least free peanuts!? Our journey only gets better with them too. Don't worry we also had a 4 hour layover in Denver. That was fun...not! We ended up buying some coloring books to kill some time. :)
We finally landed in Chicago and drove about 4 hours to get to Nauvoo. That part was nice cause we got to drive with his parents. When we arrived at Nauvoo it was about 9 o'clock Central time so we were really tired at this point. It had been a long traveling day. It was so fun to see Steve's family and all be in the same house together. His parents rented the Hyrum Smith farmhouse in Nauvoo. It was such a nice place and we all had a great time. Steve and I were really spoiled that weekend too. We got to sleep in a KING size bed and o boy do we need one of those now! It was so nice to not even touch each other in the bed after he always cuddles with me and then I need my space. I tend to sometimes hit Steve in the face at night because I sleep with my arms under my head and when I turn over I accidentally hit him in the face. That's his favorite thing about me. ;) Jk So after our nice big bed we decided its time to invest in a King size bed. Anyways, we played games, went around the Nauvoo sites and then Friday we went to the Temple to see his brother get sealed to his wife. It was such an amazing experience to be in such a historic place and be with people you love in the sealing room. It was awesome! Saturday we went to Carthage and Carthage Jail. I have been to Nauvoo and Carthage before and I still felt the spirit when you walk into were Joseph Smith was killed. The spirit there will never leave. I love church history and the sacrifices the pioneers went through...I can't even imagine. That is why Heavenly Father knew to send me later cause he knew I can't hack it! ;) Sunday came and it was time to go back to the real world. We headed back to Chicago and of course at the airport we sat in the airplane with no A/C for 45 min for them to fix the plane. We finally made it to Denver for another layover and finally touched Utah ground around 12 when we were suppose to be home at 10:50. Honestly we had a great trip but Frontier Airlines will never get business from us again!

It was so fun to see our nieces and nephews and even the new little guy Seth. :) He is so stinkin cute! We had a blast with them and can't wait to see them again. It's hard being so far apart but it also helps because your their favorite aunt and uncle. ;) Sorry Mike and Bione. :) jk
We are so blessed to have such great families on both sides. I couldn't ask for better in laws. They are great! I am so blessed to have Steve in my life and can't wait to start our own family some day. He needs to graduate in April and then found a full time job before that happens. :) April babe! I am so excited we just have to get Steve through his Math class. Anyone know how to do College Algebra? :)
Much Love
